Elettra Storm - Powerlords - review

Elettra Storm - Powerlords

On the February 19th, 2024, italian band Elettra Storm's debut album was released. The band was formed in 2023 and its current members are Crystal Laura Emiliani - vocal (earlier ocalist of no longer existing Lead Free, also Re-X), Davide Sportiello - bass and keyboards (SilentLie, Sinheresy), Matteo Norbedo - drums (The Shameless), Matteo Antoni - guitar (Sarahband) and Francis D. Mary - guitar (Re-X). despite short period of playing together, the recorded album brings music full of rushing tempos and interesting melodies and guitar solos. Power metal has now new band and it isn't just as any when judged by first album.

At the same beginning the band serves us vivid single "" (45th last week at our Stef Metal Chart - Hard'n'heavy Music (93)), maybe chaotic a little some times, but very interesting as an opener. Next is one of the best records on the album - "Redemtion", still fast but having more melodic vocal lines, especially in chorus that Emiliani and Sportiello sing togerher. Other songs worth of mention are the title track - "Powerlords" (fast and melodic but starting slow), last on the trackist "Voices In The Wind" and probably best on the album "Sacrifice Of Angels".
Overall the album makes very good impression giving also strong prespectives for another good power metal records, even so there are also weaker parts like slower ballad "Alone" - some say its good, some say its weak, I belong to second group.

My note
7/10
