The Halo Effect's "" was new entry on week 125 of Stef Metal Chart. It promoted upcoming band's new album "March of the Unheard" that was released just few days ago. The band was formed in 2019 by former members of In Flames. So if anyone knows anything about In Flames or know at least that they are coming from Sweden, then probably will be almost sure that music recorded at The Halo Effect's new album would be melodic death metal or something close to this. And that would be good opinion. And my opinion is that band's second studio album is piece of good music.
The album starts with energetic "Conspire To Deceive" where band shows many technical riffs, song looks very melodic and solo, although not foo gast, is very interesting. All that together makes probably the bast track on the album. But also in this place must be mentioned that music recorded on the album is on similar quality level and none of the track is making low overall album note.
Second track is mentioned above "Detonate", faster and heavier with some shredded rhythm and more melodical guitars play in chorus. From the third track starts a little weaker part of the album but for sure it is not weakm as I mentioned above. For me worth of special mention are title track "March Of The Unheard" and "The Burning Point" - both harder. First of them is also more filled with melodies, having interesting guitar passages in background. Second one has also little shredded rhythm and technical riffs with a little lighter chorus.
Tracklist:
Line-up:
Mikael Stanne, Jesper Strömblad, Niclas Engelin, Peter Iwers, Daniel Svensson.
My note
7/10

I highly recommend listening to this album to almost anyone who likes heavier sounds.
