On August 9th, 2024 new item was added to power metal records collection when swedish HammerFall's new album was released. It is Band's thirteenth studio album and they titled it "Avenge The Fallen". New album contains 10 tracks, two of which were already new entries at Stef Metal Chart ("" and ""). Whole set is quite equally good, recorded in well-known HammerFall style perfected over the years.
The album starts with heavy hit of title track "Avenge The Fallen", which is quite fast maybe but has variable intensity of guitars and pretty backing vocals. Next is galloping single "The End Justifies" with slower guitars in verse. On the album there are also some slower songs, among which I would single out the eight on tracklist "Capture The Dream", with long sounding guitars in verse, with choral chants and interesting guitar solos. However the best song for me is next ninth track - "Rise Of Evil". It is heavier and quite fast piece of power metal, with some long sounding guitars but also some technical riffs. I would also mention seventh "Burn It Down", with its load of energy and fiery riffs, and last, quite fast "Time Immemorial", with some technical riffs and some slower guitars in chorus.
Overall it is an interesting album, but no fireworks. Strong HammerFall style item.

Joacim Cans - vocals, Oscar Fredrick Dronjak - guitars, Pontus Norgren - guitars, Fredrik Larsson - bass, David Wallin - drums.
